What a Man Looks For in a Woman With Style

I remember once I was getting my haircut in a salon. Very high-toned. Very stylish. Very pricey.

The owner confided in me that he was fed up."I can't believe it. The girls here all talk about how they look 'just like this girl in the magazine'. It makes me want to gag. Doesn't anyone want to have their personal style anymore!!!"

I laughed.

Then I looked around. Lots of girls and women (some pretty for a living) who took great pains to be beautiful...stand out...have the latest...and none really did anything for me. Mmmm.

I see it everywhere. It can be the Beach. It can be the city. I look. But I'm not really attracted to them. At least not enough to want to go out with them. And that's the key to me.

Beautiful Is Not The Same As Attractive

Here's what I notice and what makes a difference to me. And I find attracting me. Now, I'm single so it's filtered through the eyes of a man who appreciates women...and loves dating them.

In my world attractive means I'm attracted to you...you get a second look...there's something about you that makes me want to say Hello...something about you that makes me admire you...and something that makes me take the time to talk to you and give the doors a chance to open.

1) A sincere smile is always sexy. Not just whiter-than –white teeth. What matters is your smile genuinely reflects your personality.
2) Attention to detail. You can tell the difference between a woman who wears her clothes...or her clothes wear her.
3) Self Confidence is a style. When a woman has a level of confidence it shines through. And the clothes she's wearing can't hide that look.
4) Style doesn't have to mean outrageous or over-the-top. Understated is a style too.
5) Being "Appropriate" is a style. Some designers may encourage excess...or outrageous. But true class is dressing appropriately for the event. .
6) Sexy is stylish...slutty is not.
7) Personality style. When a woman dresses for her personality it shines through. I recognize that in many ways your personality (or moods) change constantly...and watching that is half the fun.
8) Personal Style. Different than a "Personality Style" It means you have a way of dressing that reflects your soul. It's the most mysterious of all. Like art, you may not be able to describe it...but you know what you like!

As I was writing this, an old Billy Joel song was running through my head.

"Don't you know about the new fashion honey?
All you need are looks and a whole lotta money."

There's a truth to this. But after seeing Jennifer's site, I'm sure her readers are searching for more.
